How Do Wire Drawing Machines Achieve Precise Processing Of Metal Wires?
Leave a message
A wire drawing machine is a mechanical device used for processing metal wires. It reduces the diameter of metal wires (such as rebar, copper, aluminum, and iron wires) while extending their length through physical stretching, ultimately achieving refined processing of the wire. This equipment is widely used in construction, manufacturing, and other fields, playing a crucial role, especially in the prestressing treatment of reinforcing bars and the production of metal products.
Technical Principles and Core Structure:
The working principle of a wire drawing machine is based on the plastic deformation characteristics of metals. The equipment applies tension to the metal wire through a traction device, causing it to pass through drawing dies of different apertures (usually made of hard alloy or diamond), gradually reducing its diameter and extending its length. Its core structure includes an infeed device, a drawing die box, a winding device, and a power system: the infeed device is responsible for stably feeding the wire; the drawing die box contains multi-stage dies to control the change in wire diameter; the winding device neatly winds up the processed wire; and the power system (usually an 11kW motor) provides continuous tension. The equipment supports infeed diameters of 6.5-20mm and output diameters of 4-19mm, meeting various specification requirements.
Key Parameters and Performance:
The equipment's performance is reflected in several parameters: a maximum cutting depth of 22mm and 18mm ensures processing capability for high-strength metal wires; a 16.8mm saw blade diameter and 3200mm overall dimensions balance equipment stability and operating space; and a total weight of 4890kg guarantees low vibration during operation. It has broad material compatibility, processing metal wires, rebar, etc., suitable for both non-ferrous and ferrous metal wire drawing needs. Furthermore, the equipment adopts a one-piece design, reducing on-site assembly and improving ease of use.
Operating Procedures and Safety Guidelines:
The following steps must be followed during operation: First, check if the infeed wire diameter is within the range of 6.5-20mm and confirm that the drawing die diameter matches the target output wire diameter; after starting the equipment, control the drawing speed using the speed control device to avoid wire breakage or excessive die wear; after processing is complete, stop the power system first, then turn off the winding device. In terms of safety, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of components such as wire drawing wheels and pulleys, and replace vulnerable parts such as alloy feed nozzles and manganese steel train wheels in a timely manner; operators should wear protective gloves to prevent metal shavings from flying.
